Iowa looks to finish the season strong against the University of Michigan. Saturday’s game will mark the final home contest for 15 seniors. The Hawkeyes have won the last 3-of-4 in the series with Michigan, including the last two in Iowa City.
This game is an important to further cement Iowa’s bowl prospects against a Michigan team that has struggled to find offense during the second half of the season. The Hawkeye defense will need to be at their best as Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner is explosive and capable of extending plays with his feet. There’s no better time for the Iowa offense to take a giant step forward. Hawk fans will be amped already, if Iowa’s able to move the ball down field and score; Kinnick will become electric.
The pressure is building on the Hawkeyes for a return to glory, taking down the Wolverines would surely be a boost to the program; and a great signature win Coach Ferentz needs to quiet those losing patience in Iowa City.

Month of November Food Drive with LA Regional Food Bank
The Los Angeles Iowa Club is partnering with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to help provide food for the hungry this November. For every November Gamewatch (vs Wisconsin, Purdue, Michigan, and Nebraska), the LA Iowa Club is asking its members to donate at least 1 non-perishable item to the LA Regional Food Bank. We will have a box available to drop off your donation at the Santa Monica and Pasadena Gamewatch sites. Last year we were able to donate 25 pounds of food during just 1 Gamewatch. The LA Iowa Club’s target is to donate 100 or more pounds of food toward this effort!
Examples of non-perishable items to donate:
Canned Chicken, Powdered Milk, Canned Tuna, Saltine Crackers, Soups, Juices, White Rice, Jarred or Canned Spaghetti Sauce, Grape Jelly, Canned Vegetables, Breakfast Cereals, Pork & Beans, Peanut Butter, Macaroni & Cheese, Pasta, Popcorn, Salt, Sugar, Flour, Ketchup, etc.
**Los Angeles Hawkeyes, let’s do our part and help the LA Regional Food Bank achieve their goal, and see that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County!
