LA Regional Foodbank a Success!

The Los Angeles Iowa Club wants to thank the members of the BigTen Club for hosting this event! It was a fantastic event that helps bring food to those in need. The Los Angeles Iowa Club was represented by 3 members (Justin Drake, Kim Schillig, and Alvin Chang). We also met many members representing other B1G institutions which provided a great network of B1G Alums. We have some pictures from this event located in the Photo Gallery. For those that have never done this, I would highly recommend it and come back to visit lahawkeyes.com for future events like this one. Go Hawks!

First Iowa Alumni Gamewatch of 2012!

Next Saturday, February 4th, at noon PST will be the FIRST EVER Iowa Basketball gamewatch with our Iowa Hawkeyes taking on the Penn State Nittany Lions!

The ONLY watch location is a place we’ve all come to love so much – Barney’s Beanery in Santa Monica! Have a great lunch and support your Hawks. Barney’s will be providing a 25% discount on any food and drink for all Iowa Club members that come in the black and gold or any IOWA gear.

Barney’s Beanery in Santa Monica is the original location for the LA Iowa Club which has shown EVERY Iowa football game in the fall in front of many enthusiastic Hawkeyes. Let’s continue to show them that Hawkeyes are the best college sports fans.

The address for this location is: 1351 3rd St. Promenade, Santa Monica, CA

Be sure to meet up with Eric ‘The Mayor’ Brune so he can introduce you to any of the new Los Angeles Iowa Club Board members that may also be in attendance.

Go Hawks!
